A Talkback with PeoplesHub Arts & Social Justice Fellows | December 5, 7-9pm ET

Registration is closed for this event
Meet and celebrate our Artist Fellows Kal-El Carey and Sharif Zakout, who will share their art and organizing work as a part of our 2023 Arts and Social Justice Fellowship Cohort.

Calling all art-lovers in movement work and beyond! Join us for a talkback with PeoplesHub Arts & Social Justice Fellows Sharif Zakout and Kal-El Carey of our 2023 Cohort. The evening will include performances, art presentations, and reflections from both Sharif and Kal-El on their art, organizing work, and time as a PeoplesHub Artist Fellow. There will be time for questions and lots of celebration.

At PeoplesHub, we center our work in the 4-Rs model for what makes healthy social justice movements, Resistance, Resilience, Restoration, and Re-imagination. It is Reimagination that led us to create the PeoplesHub Arts and Social Justice Fellowship. We believe that artists and culture bearers are integral to successful movements because they hold up a mirror to the way things are, but more importantly, help us imagine our world anew

Cost:

Free! Though we appreciate donations from those who can afford to do so.

At PeoplesHub we are committed to communication access, radical hospitality, supporting facilitators, and making our offerings financially accessible. Donations allow us to continue offering programs like this one and pay speakers, tech support leads, interpreters, captioners, and other support staff a fair wage for their time and expertise. Like you, those who support our trainings work hard for change in their communities and have often developed the knowledge, skill and gifts that they are offering through many unpaid hours — let’s support them to be sustainable in their work and craft!
