...Palestine will be free

Hello ,

We are all bearing witness to the genocide of Palestinians. We know many of you are grieving, organizing, and demanding that it stop. We are with you. PeoplesHub unequivocally stands with everyone fighting for self-determination and freedom from colonization and occupation, including Palestine.

We’re calling on everyone in our hub, particularly those based in the so-called “united states,” to apply pressure in all possible ways toward: an immediate ceasefire, humanitarian assistance to Gaza, and an end to united states military funding to israel. Most importantly, we call on our hub to join organizations with ongoing campaigns to free Palestine.

What actions can I take right now?

  • Donate to humanitarian and medical aid for Palestine via Palestinian Medical Relief Society, Palestine Red Crescent Society, Medical Aid for Palestinians, and Doctors Without Borders.
  • Call and email your united states congressional representatives, pressuring them to demand an immediate ceasefire, humanitarian assistance to Gaza, and an end to american military funding to israel.
  • When protesting in person, practice COVID safety and mask up.
  • Join a Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) campaign.

The Palestinian struggle is significant to us, as an organization working in the disability justice and solidarity economy movements. We hold as true what the Abolition and Disability Justice Collective stated in 2021: “Disability justice cannot exist under settler colonialism, military occupation, imprisonment, and apartheid.” As an online hub of many disabled movement workers, we are offering free online methodology and design coaching services to our partner organizations dedicated to supporting Palestinian freedom efforts.

What organizations can I join?

  • Arab Resource Organizing Center
  • US Palestinian Community Network
  • Palestinian Youth Movement
  • Palestine Legal
  • Arab American Action Network
  • Muslims for Just Futures
  • Jewish Voice for Peace

In adding our voice to the many other organizations who’ve spoken up in solidarity with Palestine, we want to emphasize that this matters even when it’s not making international news. With the funding and complicity of the united states, israel has been committing genocide of Palestinians for the past 75 years since 1948. We encourage our hub to stay informed and active in support of the Free Palestine movement, even if mainstream media moves on. Disability justice demands solidarity with Palestine.

Where can I keep learning?

Resisting COVID Denialism: Strategy Clinics for Organizers

Join us for a series of three online clinics, designed to bring movement organizers together to share strategies, resources, and political education on resisting COVID denialism.

We recognize that people have been resisting COVID denialism, often in relative isolation. These clinics are for folks actively working against COVID denialism – including long-term organizers & people who’ve become involved over the course of the pandemic.

We encourage you to attend the full series, as each session will build upon the next. Here's what we'll cover in a popular education format:

  • Session 1: Connecting past & present, political realities on the ground, identifying challenges and opportunities in movement spaces.
  • Session 2: Sharing interventions, practices, campaigns, and strategies.
  • Session 3: Determining where we want to go next and exploring possibilities for ongoing mutual support.

Ongoing: Community Care Clinic for Disabled and Chronically Ill Movement Folks

An ongoing community care peer support space aimed at expanding possibilities around how we live and work as disabled and chronically ill people.

This space will be animated by questions such as:

  • What does it mean in our activism, in our movements, in our work and in our communities to be all in?
  • What sacrifices are inherent, what do we gain, what do we give up and what is expected of us?
  • Am I worthy, do I have the ability to be in the movement, do I have a place here?

Join us at our upcoming Care Clinics on:

  • Tuesday, November 7 at 4-6pm PT / 6-8pm CT / 7-9pm ET
  • Tuesday, November 21 at 4-6pm PT / 6-8pm CT / 7-9pm ET
